The all new 500 Series “e” revision comes to us with an 8” model featuring 2.5” voice coil and 100oz Magnet, and 10”, 12” and 15” models featuring 3” voice coils with 120oz magnet motors. These new drivers come with an extra 12mm of top plate and longer coil windings that result in a 50% increase of Xmax. The power handling increases to 500 Watts on the 508 and 750 Watts on 510, 512 and 515. Upgrades to this series include cones with fiberglass loaded non-pressed treated paper, taller and thicker EROM surrounds with black stitching, heavier dual layering with integrated tinsel leads, and new basket and motor boot designs elevating cosmetics with DD branding.
