Up for sale is an incredibly rare, grail-status piece from the mid-2000s Affliction archive. This is an official collaboration with legendary Japanese master tattoo artist Horiyoshi III, featuring his iconic 108 Heroes of the Suikoden inspired artwork.

The History & The Art:
This capsule collection represents a monumental cross-cultural moment from the height of the mid-2000s streetwear and tattoo-culture boom. Horiyoshi III (Yoshihito Nakano) is globally revered as a legendary master of Irezumi (traditional Japanese hand-poked tattooing). For this rare "Heroes & Demons" series, Affliction licensed his intricate line art based on the Suikoden—the classic 14th-century tale of 108 outlaw warriors who fought against tyrannical rule.
The vertical fabric banner stitched down the back spine proudly displays the kanji 水滸列伝図譜 (Suikoden Retsuden Zufu), referencing the historic chronicles of these legendary warriors. Because Affliction’s licensing agreement with Horiyoshi III ended long ago, these original mid-2000s USA-made pieces have transitioned from casual clubwear into highly coveted, archival pieces of fashion history.

Provenance & Condition:
This shirt was purchased brand new by the original owner, worn only a handful of times, and put directly into indoor storage at a parents' residence for the last ~15+ years. It comes from a strictly smoke-free, pet-free environment and has been perfectly preserved away from light, odors, and moisture. It is incredibly difficult to find this specific design in a true Men's 2XL in this immaculate condition.
