Earth leakage circuit breaker
Power supply: AC
Arc-extinguishing method: Vacuum circuit breaker
Voltage: 1000 V (exclusive) – 1500 V (inclusive)
Earth leakage circuit breaker types: 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N
Rated current: 10 A, 16 A, 20 A, 25 A, 32 A, 40 A, 63 A, 80 A, 100 A
Voltage: 230 V, 400 V
Functions: Short-circuit/overload/earth leakage protection
How do you distinguish between a circuit breaker and an earth leakage circuit breaker?
Miniature circuit breakers provide protection against overcurrent events such as overloads and short circuits;
Earth leakage circuit breakers add protection against earth leakage events to the functionality of miniature circuit breakers. Therefore, in areas prone to earth leakage hazards, particularly where people are likely to come into contact with live parts (such as damp environments, low-level sockets, kitchens and bathrooms), the use of earth leakage circuit breakers is recommended.
1. Miniature circuit breaker: A miniature circuit breaker will trip when the current is too high, but will not trip in the event of a residual current.
2. Residual current device (RCD): An RCD will trip not only when the current is too high, but also in the event of a residual current.
