In Harmony by Weldon Irvine.

Weldon Irvine occupies a special place in jazz history as a composer, keyboardist, and bandleader whose music bridged soul, spiritual jazz, and the deeper currents of Black creative expression. "In Harmony" arrives on P-Vine Records as a digitally remastered, limited first edition, giving this material the careful reissue treatment it deserves. For listeners who have followed Irvine's catalog or come to him through the generations of hip-hop producers who sampled his work, this release offers a chance to hear him presented with renewed clarity and intention.

Musically, the album leans into warmth and conversation, with keyboard textures sitting at its heart. "Virginia" Joe Jones contributes keyboards here, and that presence gives the record its grounding — chords and phrasing that breathe between the melodies rather than crowding them. It's the kind of playing that rewards close attention, where restraint and feel carry as much weight as technique.

As an object, this edition is built for collectors: the remaster brings out the detail in the arrangements, and the included OBI completes the package for anyone who values a pressing done properly. Limited to a first edition, it won't linger. For a shelf devoted to jazz with soul and staying power, this is a record that earns its place and keeps pulling you back for another listen.
