Each Set Of Pair Shelves Would Make A Great Addition To Your Gallery Wall

• Can these two shelves hold picture frames?

Yes, they can. Each shelf has a raised front lip to stop picture frames slipping. At 11cm (4.33") deep, they also work great for small ornaments, candles and plants.

• Do they come with mounting hardware?

Yes, solid wall mounting hardware (screws and wall plugs) is included. Plasterboard fixings are not provided and must be bought separately.

• Can the paulownia shelves be used in a bathroom?

No, not recommended. The deep charred finish on these paulownia shelves is not waterproof and may warp in damp areas like bathrooms. For bathroom use, try our black/white paulownia or clear lacquered pine shelves.

• Can they be painted?

Yes, you can paint them. Just sand off loose charred powder first, apply a primer, then use water-based or oil-based paint. Light sanding will preserve some of the beautiful charred wood texture.

• Can the floating shelf hold books?

Yes, they can hold books (20lbs capacity per shelf). Note that due to their 11cm internal depth, books must stand upright against the wall (cannot lay flat) and are for decorative display only. Stacking many books is not recommended.
