Wedgwood Early Victorian Blue Dip Jasperware Oval Plate
This lovely Jasperware plate has an applied floral border and classical tableaux. It is difficult to assess the dates of these products, but it was made before the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891 as there is no 'Made in England' mark, just the impressed 'Wedgwood' mark.
In good antique condition. There is discolouration to the top of the reverse and a tiny edge chip, which is only slightly visible when the plate is being displayed. Both of these have most likely happened because the plate had wires on it to enable wall hanging. It has to be remembered that this is a very old plate and there are a few tiny cracks to the applied decoration. Please look carefully at my photos as they are an important part of the decoration.
The measurements are approximately 24 x 17cms.
