1920 Peru to USA Cover Lima 1909 2c Carmine Stamp Benavides to Kelley Rubber Co
DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an authentic vintage commercial envelope (cover) sent internationally from Lima, Peru, to the United States in 1920. This piece offers an interesting look into early 20th-century international trade and postal history, with excellent cross-collectible appeal for those tracking the history of the early Ohio rubber industry.
The front of the cover features a clear, circular handstamped Circular Date Stamp (CDS) duplex postmark with an integrated oval grid killer design that defaces the postage stamp to prevent reuse.
Though in used vintage condition, this cover has been preserved in a protective sleeve and comes from a clean, long-term collector environment. Shipped securely packaged in a rigid mailer to prevent bending.
CONDITION
Used vintage condition. The paper cover displays light edge wear and minor natural paper toning consistent with commercial mail of this era. The 1909 stamp shows period-accurate wear, including pulled/uneven top perforations and light marginal wear from handling. Please review the high-resolution macro photos carefully to assess exact condition details before purchasing.
