Installation Notes

Professional installation recommended

No programming required for the part specified in this listing. Thermally conductive silicone adhesive is required for proper heat transfer and product longevity. It is not included and must be purchased separately. A standard thermally conductive silicone adhesive suitable for LED boards can be used.

  1. Use a screwdriver to gently pry off the original LED board. If it is secured with screws, remove the screws first.
  2. Check the thermal silicone adhesive marks left by the original board. Following these contact areas, apply thermally conductive silicone adhesive evenly to the back of the replacement board, including the contact area underneath the LED beads.
  3. Refit the board in its original position and press it flat. Allow the adhesive to cure according to its instructions before completing installation and using the light.

Check the Light Guide Before Fitting

Before installing the replacement DRL LED board or module, inspect the light guide where it meets the LED source. If this area is burnt or discolored, have a professional assess it and carefully sand / polish the affected area as shown in the guide below. If the damage cannot be corrected, replace the light guide. Check the light guide as well as the LED component when diagnosing poor light output.
