Description:A New Zealand Queen Victoria Full Face Chalon imperforate Six Pence in Chestnut, from the early colonial classic period. The stamp shows the familiar crowned portrait within the oval background, with NEW ZEALAND above and SIX PENCE below. It is a used example, bearing a vertical manuscript or ink cancellation across the portrait, with some additional light ink traces. The cut margins are present on all sides but are very close at the top and left, while the lower and right sides are more comfortable. The reverse shows no clear original gum and has visible hinge or paper disturbance with light toning. A collectable representative example of this key early New Zealand classic issue.
