This is a highly collectible mid-century designer jewelry set from Crown Trifari’s iconic 1966 “Modern Mosaics” collection. Finding the dramatic cascading bib fringe necklace is a treat, but finding the completely intact matching clip on earrings to complete. The original set is incredibly rare.
The spectacular sent features a bold Modernist/Brutalist aesthetic. The structural, triangular plates are made of textured silver – tone metal in laid with Open – Back, custom – molded translucent poured glass panels. (representing the historic French plique-a-jour or Grixpoix glass styles). The panels feature a deep, rich bottle – green hue that beautifully catches the light when worn. The necklace anchors a dramatic, heavy waterfall, cancels made of fluid, cascading, silver – tone chains.
This TRIFARI set is in great excellent condition. (One silver strand is shortened-(Please see pic). The silver-tone finish remains bright and clean with minimum aging. All green glass inserts are completely intact, free of cracks and securely set. The earring clips are tight and springy, and the necklace clasp functions perfectly.
