Thank You for Shopping In the USA

A great original Prohibition doctor's prescription stub for Whiskey... 16 ounces (pint)...for Acute Laryngitis! Dr. Spiller had very nice penmanship!

This prescription stub was retained by the doctor and open to inspection by Federal Officers! Please see photo!

The whiskey was prescribed for John F. Rhines, of Washington, DC, by Dr. William Walter Spiller, of Washington, DC and Brentwood, MD, on July 5, 1932.

It was issued by the Treasury Department and when held to the light, PROHIBITION is partially watermarked.

The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3", has light bends, otherwise condition is excellent...a fantastic script from the Prohibition days!

This is a FANTASTIC piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, wine cellar, distillery, museum, bar or office! Also a great gift or an addition to a collection of pharmacy, medicine, US currency, Alcoholics Anonymous, Capone, 1920s, bar, Americana, stamps and DEA items!
