This vintage ceramic studio pottery tankard features a unique leaping deer/antelope and leaf design, showcasing the art pottery production style. Handmade with a soft sheen finish, this original mug is crafted in cream, beige, and turquoise colours. It may have been made as a tourist souvenir in the mid twentieth century somewhere in Europe or the Mediterranean. There is a scratched mark on the base which may read 31-144 or 31/44. It has 2 or 3 shallow nibbles on the top rim and a chip on the base edge (see photos). It measures 6 inches high. The intricate details and vintage charm make it a stylish and functional piece for any home or studio.
