This book by Gilbert White, with an introduction by Keith Thomas, is profusely illustrated with engravings, watercolors and a map.

The Natural History of Selborne his one of the best loved books in the English language.  First published in 1789,  this edition was published in 2009.  The book is bound in cloth with paper sides printed and blocked with a design by Neil Gower.

Housed in a dark brown, sturdy illustrated slipcase.   Gilt title on spine, front cover, upper page ends and slipcase front.  A dark brown satin ribbon page marker is included.
