HISTORICAL NOTES:
- The Craftsman Boom: This style of architecture exploded in popularity in the American West between 1905 and 1920, celebrated for its hand-crafted natural wood elements, wide porches, and low-pitched rooflines.
- Photographic Identity: The AZO stamp box with all four corner triangles pointing upward precisely dates the manufacturing of this underlying photographic paper stock to the years between 1904 and 1918.
- The Settler's Pride: In the early 20th century, commissioning a real photo postcard of a newly erected homestead or orchard house was a popular way for families to show off their prosperity and progress to relatives back East.
