Vintage solid brass door knocker in the form of a seated Alsatian wolf dog, raised on a rectangular base reading "Alsatian Wolf Dog". The piece has a swinging striker bar hinged at the top, operated by lifting and dropping against the fixed loop below.

The metal has developed a natural aged patina with darker tones in the recesses and brighter highlights on raised areas, typical of older brass hardware.

A charming decorative piece for dog lovers or collectors of vintage door furniture.
