A letter from the L.N.E.R western division at Marylebone Station, dated 25th May 1932, to signalman T. Bateman, the signalman at Clowne station signal box, thanking him for his actions regarding a divided coal train and giving him a reward of one pound from the "Sir Edward Watkin Special Award Fund".
The letter has been folded to fit the envelope when originally posted and it has some corner creases. It's a bit grubby in places, especially the rear which has some feint pencil writing, but otherwise in good condition.
