CHICAGO WHITE SOX

BASEBALL

‘ game day ‘ souvenir

WHITE SOX ‘ team signed ‘ facsimile baseball

( auto pen / printed signatures )

This was a promo premium,

given away to the first few hundred attendees of a white sox ‘ special game day’ ,

at old komiskey park - circa 1979

I recognize some of the names …..

Ron kittle

Carlton Fisk

Tony La Rusoa

Dennis lamp

Julio Cruz

and there are many more names that you sox fanatics will recognize

La rusoa was with the team between 1978 - 1986

Dating this souvenir ball somewhere in that period ….

This was also the infamous ‘STEVE DAHL ‘ disco demolition’ era …..

( July 1979 )

Dahl was a popular radio personality back then ,…

the stadium was packed ,…

the burning of disco music albums spawned a fan riot …

With thousands of dahls fans storming the field ,…

Causing the second game in a double header to be canceled & forfeited

don’t pass it up !

The sox are going all the way this year !

A great historic ‘ signed ‘ team ball facsimile ,.. at the fraction of the price of a ‘ real one ‘
