This is an Ibanez RG1550MV from the prestigious Ibanez Prestige series, made in Japan. Featuring an alder body and maple fretboard, this guitar has been custom modified for practical performance use. The original HSH pickup configuration has been changed to a 2H (3-way) setup, equipped with DiMarzio pickups favored by renowned guitarists: the Air Norton (front) used by John Petrucci and the FRED (rear) from the Joe Satriani model. The wiring uses Belden cables with Kester soldering, and the tone circuit is cut for enhanced sound clarity. It has a single volume control (front knob is dummy, rear knob controls volume) and is set up specifically for arm-down tremolo use. The guitar delivers rich harmonics and excellent sound projection, ideal for technical playing styles.
