A note on flash rust

These pliers are wiped down with tool oil before they go in the mailer, which is the best defense there is. Even so, bare steel can pick up light surface flash rust in transit if it meets humidity or a temperature swing on the way to you. It is cosmetic, it comes off with oil and a rag, and it is not a condition problem with the tool.
