Original Pencil Drawing of a Woman's Face Looking Upward, Matted.
This is an original hand-drawn piece, not a print. It's a close, unusual view of a young woman's face seen from below as she tilts her head back and looks up and off to the side. The face sits low in the composition, cropped just below the parted lips, leaving open space above the head. Long, loose hair falls on both sides of the face in light, sweeping strokes.
The features have the most detail: carefully drawn eyes with lashes and highlights in the irises, feathery brows, shaded nostrils, and full lips parted to show the upper teeth. Soft hatching models the cheeks, forehead and the side of the nose, while the hair and outer edges are kept to a light, sketchy line. The drawing is in soft gray graphite on cream textured art paper.
