Mid-Century Modern Danish studio art pottery, designed by celebrated artistic director Marianne Starck (1938–2007) for the historic Michael Andersen and Son studio on the island of Bornholm, Denmark.

This hand-built, hexagonal lidded jar perfectly showcases the stunning Japandi fusion style of the 1960s, blending classic Scandinavian modernism with traditional Japanese

Kenzan and Rinpa school aesthetics. It features an exquisite cream-toned crackle glaze decorated with bold, hand-painted underglaze iron-brown, cobalt-blue, and copper-green geometric and organic brushwork.

Approximately 6.5 x 5 x 5

The main jar is structurally sound and stable for display. The exterior features vibrant glaze work and a crisp factory monogram stamp on the lower side wall. Please note the following vintage condition details:

The lid features a prominent structural hairline crack running across the internal underside, which shows as a very fineline on the top surface.

The rim features a few visible glaze flake/chip on the edge where the interlocking lid cutout meets the drip glaze.

There is also minor, natural age-crazing in the glaze surface.

Please review all photos carefully for cosmetic condition as they are part of the description.
