Parasaurolophus lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous. It was a hadrosaurid, or duck-billed dinosaur, with a broad beak and batteries of teeth used to process plants. Its most striking feature was a long, hollow crest extending from the back of the skull. Researchers have proposed that the crest played a role in sound production and visual display. Parasaurolophus could move on its hind legs or all fours. The CollectA figure emphasises the characteristic crest that separates it from other hadrosaurs.
