Mosasaurus was a large marine squamate reptile related to the broader group that includes modern lizards and snakes. It lived during the Late Cretaceous, when warm shallow seas covered extensive areas of the globe. Mosasaurs had powerful jaws, conical teeth and limbs modified into flippers. Their tails provided much of the thrust needed for swimming. CollectA’s figurine represents a major marine predator from the final age of the dinosaurs.
