Spark Paws Dog Puffer Jacket, Winter Coat for Small Medium Large Dogs

The Spark Paws PuffShield is a puffer-style winter coat for dogs, built for the cold half of the year. A high-loft cotton filling gives the coat its body and does the insulating work, while the 100% polyester outer shell is water-resistant and sheds snow and light rain. It is not waterproof, and we would rather say so here than have you find out on a wet walk - for sustained heavy rain, a dedicated dog raincoat is the right choice. The cut is a slip-on with Velcro closures at the waist, so there are no legs to push through sleeves and no wrestling at the door with a wriggly puppy or a large adult dog. A high-neck collar sits close around the throat without crowding it. A reinforced zipper opening through the back panel reaches a harness or collar underneath, so you can clip a leash on and set off without taking the coat off first. Seven sizes run from Small through to 4XL, covering a small puppy up to XL and on to 2XL, 3XL and 4XL for the biggest breeds. Measure your dog's chest girth against the size chart in the images, and size up if your dog falls between sizes - broad chests and thick double coats usually need the larger option. The shell wipes clean. Mud and road salt come off with a damp cloth rather than a wash cycle after every walk, which is what keeps a lighter colour looking new through a whole winter. PuffShield is a cold-weather outer layer for walks. Take it off indoors, the way you would your own coat.
