Item Description (Pre-owned)
Vintage Sony WM-WX777 Hi-Band Wireless Walkman cassette player, Made in Japan.
This model is part of Sony’s unusual Hi-Band wireless Walkman series. Sony’s own support site confirms the WM-WX777 model, while period references describe it as a 1994 wireless cassette Walkman with Auto Reverse, Dolby B, EX-DBB, AMS, Blank Skip, and AVLS features.
The internal drive belt has been replaced, and the worn pinch roller has also been replaced.
After servicing, cassette playback is possible, but the playback speed remains unstable and wow / speed fluctuation is still noticeable.
The exact cause has not been determined. Additional diagnosis and repair may be required.
Because the fault remains unresolved, this player is sold strictly AS-IS / For Parts or Repair and is recommended for buyers familiar with vintage Walkman maintenance.
The exterior shows normal age-related wear, scratches, and scuffs. Please use the photos as the primary reference for condition.
