Chinese Porcelain Scholar's Vessel – Qianlong Reign Mark – Zhuzi Family Precepts – Blue & White Celadon Glaze

Beautiful and unusual Chinese porcelain vessel featuring traditional Chinese calligraphy, an elaborate decorative handle, and a four-character Qianlong reign mark on the underside.

The vessel features a pale celadon-green glazed body decorated with dark cobalt-blue Chinese characters arranged in vertical columns. The inscription reproduces passages from "Zhuzi's Family Instructions" (朱子治家格言), a traditional Chinese text emphasizing family values, morality, discipline, and proper household conduct.

The vessel has a distinctive cylindrical open-top body with tall upright architectural handles decorated with intricate blue scrollwork and geometric patterns.

Qianlong Reign Mark:

The underside bears a four-character Chinese Qianlong reign mark (大清乾隆), translating to "Qianlong of the Great Qing Dynasty."

The Qianlong Emperor ruled China from 1735 to 1796. However, Qianlong reign marks were also used on porcelain manufactured during later periods.

The actual age and manufacturing period of this vessel have not been independently authenticated. It is being offered as decorative Chinese-style porcelain bearing a Qianlong mark, not as a verified 18th-century antique.
