Ring-Grain Blast, Great Shape!
Offering a pipe from Stanwell, in their SCANDIA branding. It’s a shape 790. Stanwell would typically add a “7” to the front of their shape numbers when stamping the SCANDIA branded pipes. So, the 90 becomes 790. In this case, looking up the shape 90, it was designed by Sixten Ivarsson when he was at Stanwell: 90. Freehand, ball shaped, saddle mouthpiece by Sixten Ivarsson – 1951. The bowl has a good-looking sandblast finish, bringing out some rugged ring-grain patterns. The bowl is in really nice shape, with slight wear to inner rim and bowl interior. It draws easy with the draw hole bottom center. The stem is made of quality vulcanite. It has no tooth wear. Weighs in about 1.6 ounces, 45.4 grams, feels good in the hand and easy on the teeth as well. Freshly polished and ready to smoke!
