Comoy's Palomino, Made in England
Made for CLUBB’S LOS ANGELES Shop
6 Mid-sized Billiard, Saddle Cut Stem
Gorgeous Flame Grain, Great Shape

Here's an early model by Comoy's, branded as a Palomino, made for a very early tobacconist. This particular pipe was made for A. CLUBB & SONS, a tobacconist shop located at 430 West Sixth St, Los Angeles from around 1914-1937. I have included a photo of their store-front, plus an early match-book cover, which is cool and retro looking! It was common for larger tobacconist shops to have Comoy’s pipes stamped for their shops. The shape is Comoy’s 6, which is a mid-size billiard with round shank and saddle cut stem. The bowl shows off some pretty flame grain and mix. No noted fills or issues, good color and contrast, almost no wear. Interior is seasoned from use, in great shape. The pipe draws well, with draw hole bottom center. It weighs in about 1.05 ounce, 29.8 grams. This is a classic early Comoy’s and thus collectible, in my thinking. Lightly polished and ready to smoke!

Please see my other Auctions! Combined shipping of multiple items no problem, wait until auctions end to pay, and I’ll send a combined invoice! Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe. Click photos BELOW to enlarge, and see more photos! Returns OK before you smoke any pipe.
