Description
Made by PREBEN HOLM 1972-89
Deep Blast, Ring-Grain, Plateau
Rustic Organic Look, Excellent
Offering a wonderful looking classic Danish freehand, hand-made by Preben Holm from the 1972-89 timeframe. The pipe was made for a shop, presumably with the name “THE HUMIDOR” and also bears the IIS stamp, which identifies it as having been made by Preben Holm. He created the famous Danish made Ben Wade pipes, and lots with private labels for many shops. This pipe is a keeper, I’d love to NOT sell it, because it’s fine looking, very organic and rustic looking, and is very light in weight. The bowl is seasoned from age, and the overall pipe weighs only 1.60 ounces, or 46.0 grams. The grain is phenomenal, the top rim is natural plateau surface, and the bowl has no noted wear. The interior is cut in a conical shape, like a rifle bullet, draw hole bottom center. Feels good in the hand. Stem appears original and made of quality vulcanite, no wear or markings. It draws well, is ready to smoke!
Please see my other Auctions! Combined shipping of multiple items no problem, wait until auctions end to pay, and I’ll send a combined invoice! Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe. Click photos BELOW to enlarge, and see more photos! Returns OK before you smoke any pipe.
