This octagonal pearlware side plate was made by John Harrison in Staffordshire circa 1800 , and bears his mark on the base .
It is from the late Charlie Oxford collection .
It is decorated with blue transfer print of the two figures pattern .
It measures 7 7/8" in diameter .
There is a fine crack on the inside of the border on the back of about 2" in length , this does not go through to the front , and there is a very small nibble on the front edge .
There is no glaze crazing .
