My antique World War I era Red Cross Nurse doll has a composition head with painted facial features, a cloth body and limbs that are filled with excelsior and possibly some Kapok. She is offered for sale complete with her original Red Cross nurses uniform.
The dress, apron and underwear are stitched to the doll so I haven't washed them but I have washed the cap/bonnet and the shoes - the contrast in colour is clear to see!
