Here we have a vintage Suzuki no 9665 acoustic mandolin, made in Japan in 1960's 70's
Suzuki is one of Japan's historic stringed instrument manufacturers and this quality instrument is over half a century old. It has it's original paper label which can be seen through the sound hole (see pictures)
It has a beautiful rounded wooden body with decorative woodwork and distinctive craftsmanship associated with Japanese instruments of this period.
It is in good condition although has not been played much recently.
Sadly it does not have a case but will be very carefully packed for shipping alternatively collection is also available from Warrington Cheshire
It has come from the private collection of David Litter of the Houghton Weavers and may have been played on stage or on recordings during his 50 year career in folk music.
