Offered for sale is a vintage Mitchell 840 Match high-speed fixed-spool fishing reel, manufactured in France.
An attractive example of this collectable French-made Mitchell reel, dating from approximately 1977–1978.
The Mitchell 840 Match was designed for match and coarse fishing, incorporating an impressive 6:1 high-speed retrieve.
Finished in its classic black colour with the distinctive Mitchell 840 identification plate and Match lettering.

CONDITION
Good vintage used condition for its age.
The reel retains an attractive black finish with some general surface marks, minor scratches and signs of previous use.
The original Mitchell 840 identification plate and Match lettering remain clearly visible.
The original handle and bail arm are present.
The spare spool and Mitchell container show signs of age and use.
The reel has not been dismantled or internally inspected.
