A fiery collection of early James Brown instrumentals, Night Train! (Mighty Instrumentals) captures the raw rhythmic power that defined the Godfather of Soul’s formative years. Driven by tight grooves, sharp horn stabs and relentless momentum, these tracks showcase Brown’s band at full throttle — laying the groundwork for the funk innovations that would soon follow.
This 2024 European marbled‑vinyl edition from Second Records is a limited, individually numbered reissue, presented in stereo with a clean modern finish. A standout collector’s pressing for fans of early R&B, soul‑jazz and James Brown’s evolving instrumental sound.
