Artist:** Paolo Sandulli (Italian, b. 1949) **Title:** "Il mio studio" (My Studio) **Medium:** Hand-Painted Round Ceramic Plaque, Custom Framed **Year:** Summer 2006 (Handwritten "Estate 2006") **Origin:** Praiano, Amalfi Coast, Italy **DIMENSIONS:** * Frame Size: 11" x 11" x 1.5" * Plaque Diameter: Approx. 7.5" **ABOUT THE ARTWORK:** This rare, original piece was acquired directly from the studio-atelier of acclaimed Italian contemporary artist Paolo Sandulli. Painted in the summer of 2006, the central round ceramic plaque features a landscape titled "Il mio studio." It beautifully depicts Torre a Mare (also known as Torre Asciola)—the historic, 13th-century medieval Saracen watchtower in Praiano where Sandulli has lived and worked since 1993. The backboard preserves the artist's authentic hand-written signature, title, date, and location. It includes an original studio business card attached to the reverse side as provenance. **CONDITION REPORT:** * Ceramic Artwork: Excellent condition with vibrant colors and zero cracks, chips, crazing, or surface damage. * Frame & Seal: The wooden shadow-box frame remains fully factory-sealed and intact. * Note on Audio: There is a minor framing anomaly inside the sealed cavity—a small bit of loose internal framing material (such as dried wood glue or a tiny gesso fragment) can be heard sliding around if the frame is tilted. This does not touch or impact the ceramic face and is entirely cosmetic/audible. The backing board can easily be unsealed if you wish to remove the debris, though we have opted to leave it fully original to preserve the handwritten documentation.
