Hornby R2417 BR Class 08 0-6-0 diesel electric shunter No. 3256 in BR green livery, OO gauge.
Tested and confirmed as a good runner in both directions. A running video is included with the listing so its operation can be seen before purchase.
The locomotive is in great pre-owned condition overall, particularly considering the amount of fine detailing fitted. There are some signs of previous use and a couple of points to note:
* Missing the front coupling hook. * Missing one rear buffer, as clearly shown in the photographs. * Some light cosmetic marks from previous use and handling.
The model is DCC READY, as confirmed by the original packaging. It is not being advertised as DCC fitted.
BOXED in its original Hornby R2417 packaging. The outer box has some age-related storage wear and marking, including writing/pen marks to the front, as shown.
A lovely detailed example of Hornby’s Class 08 shunter and a good runner despite the couple of missing parts noted above.
