Megger MFT1730 Multifunction Installation Tester – SOLD AS SEEN / FAULTY
For sale is a Megger MFT1730 multifunction electrical installation tester. This unit is being sold as faulty, for spares or repairs, and is not suitable for use as a working or safety-critical electrical tester.
Known faults and issues:
* Displays a fluctuating near-zero resistance reading in continuity mode, including when no test leads are connected. * Continuity buzzer sounds when the test probes are not touching. * Pressing the MODE (↔) button causes the display to show “FUS”, requiring the tester to be switched off and back on to clear the message. * Both internal fuses have been checked and appear to be intact; the cause of the fault has not been identified. * The unit has not been repaired, and the underlying fault remains undiagnosed.
Included:
* Megger MFT1730 tester. * Included accessories/test leads, which have been checked and are fully functional.
Not included:
* Carrying case.
Condition and sale terms:
The tester is sold strictly AS SEEN, FAULTY, FOR SPARES OR REPAIRS ONLY. It is not working correctly and must not be relied upon for electrical installation testing, inspection, certification or any safety-critical application.
The buyer should assume the tester requires investigation and repair. No claim is made that the tester can be restored to working order.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. The item supplied will be the item shown.
Accessories are stated to be functional, but the tester itself is faulty.
Please note: This is a faulty-item listing, not a working or fully tested example.
