Axalta Industrial Modified Vinyl Clear Base Binder 4.5L – 17MVP-CLR-5 is a tintable binder/base component used within the professional Axalta Modified Vinyl colour mixing system.

The Clear Base is designed to be tinted using Axalta Pro-Stain IM tinting components according to the appropriate Axalta colour formulation.

The required Pro-Stain IM tint or combination of tints is accurately added to the Clear Base to produce the specified finished colour. Clear Base is typically used for formulations where lower white pigment content or greater colour depth is required.

Once all tinting components have been added and thoroughly mixed, the completed Modified Vinyl coating is ready for application.

Modified Vinyl is a single-pack vinyl anticorrosive primer/finish designed for use on galvanised steel and suitably prepared steelwork. The finished coating provides a durable sheen / semi-gloss finish together with corrosion protection and good resistance to moisture.

This product is a Clear Base binder and is not intended to be used as an untinted standalone coating.

Colour Mixing

Modified Vinyl Clear Base is a binder and must be tinted before use.

Add the appropriate Axalta Pro-Stain IM tinting components according to the required Axalta colour formula.

Depending on the colour being produced, the formulation may include:

Mixing Process
