I am offering a "Flighter Deluxe" model from the Parker 65 series—a pen from one of the world’s most beloved writing instrument brands. I am parting with it as part of a collection downsizing. A converter is included.
Since purchasing it, I have barely used the pen; I mostly enjoyed admiring its aesthetic beauty, particularly the signature "wing nib" and the gold trim unique to the 65 series. Consequently, it shows very little sign of use and is in excellent overall condition.
The Parker 65 is often overshadowed by its more famous siblings, the Parker 61 and Parker 75. However, with its distinctive 14K open nib—which offers a soft, expressive writing feel—and its stylish trim design, it stands apart from the 61 and 75, and is undoubtedly a masterpiece in its own right.
I have tested the pen for this listing. While the exact nib size is unknown, it is comparable to a Japanese "B" (Broad) nib. The large nib point offers a pleasant, subtle flex, making it a truly engaging fountain pen to write with. The ink flow is consistent, with no scratching or skipping. It has been cleaned and dried following the test, so it is ready for immediate use.
The Parker 65 series rarely appears on the secondary market. The "Flighter Deluxe" model is particularly rare, as it was only produced during the latter part of the series' run, between 1975 and 1982. I hope you will consider adding it to your collection.
