Important Notes:

  • Connector Compatibility: This cable uses a 6-pin peripheral connector on the PSU end and 15-pin SATA connectors on the device end. It is NOT a PCIe or CPU cable.
  • PSU Port Verification: The 6-pin port on your PSU must be a peripheral/SATA port, not a PCIe port. These ports are physically different and not interchangeable. Check the labeling on your PSU.
  • Cable Direction: The 6-pin end must connect to the PSU. The three 15-pin SATA ends must connect to your devices.
  • Load Recommendation: Connect no more than 2x 3.5" HDDs, or up to 3x SSDs / 2.5" HDDs. SATA connectors are rated at 4.5A per rail (12V / 5V)-. Do not exceed the safe current limit of your PSU peripheral port.
  • Not recommended for mining.
  • Type 3/Type 4/Type 5 Clarification: Corsair Type 3 and Type 4 cables share the same SATA/PATA/Peripheral pinout; the only difference is the 24-pin ATX cable-1. Type 3/Type 4 cables are NOT compatible with Type 5 power supplies-1. Never mix cables from different Corsair PSU generations without verifying compatibility.
