A Japanese bronze vase by Bishō Yoneda (米田美昭), featuring a distinctive cylindrical form with recessed bands reminiscent of bamboo nodes.
The vase is distinguished by its rich reddish patina, with irregular areas of darker brown, coppery, and subtle greenish tones distributed across the surface. These variations create a richly mottled appearance, contrasting with the clean, geometric form.
Three recessed bands divide the body into four sections, giving the vase a rhythmic, architectural quality while maintaining its simple cylindrical silhouette.
The underside bears the artist's signature, and the vase is accompanied by its original wooden box, inscribed with the artist's name and a description of the work.
Dimensions: Diameter 7 × H 24.5 cm (2.8 × 9.6 in.)
Weight: Approx. 1,200 g (1,500 g including the wooden box)
Condition: Good condition with minor surface marks and variations in the patina. Please refer to the photographs for details.
