VINTAGE CERAMIC VASE
Interesting and unusual vintage mid-century modern hand painted ceramic pottery vase a tad over 2-1/2" in size. Featuring simple canted sides, a flat, coved base and applied horizontal rings in blue and yellow on a cream ground, bands are accented in gold - there is a small SASCHA B signature on the vase side edge - underside bears the SASCHA BRASTOFF CALIFORNIA mark as well.
Condition is lovely with a small discoloration dot on the top edge from production as well as a minute pin point size nip - I've tried to show both these extremely minor issues - does not detract a bit. Uncertain if this was designed to hold cigarettes or be used as a small vase - it is a charming piece by this gifted designer. Nice addition to any collection or display!
