A dark, cinematic and ambitious high point of late‑90s Britpop, This Is Hardcore finds Pulp pushing into moodier, more orchestral territory while retaining Jarvis Cocker’s razor‑sharp lyricism. This 2016 Island Records 2×LP reissue presents the album on high‑fidelity black vinyl, housed in a sturdy cardboard sleeve with clean modern mastering. Featuring the sweeping title track, the anthemic “Help The Aged,” and the cult favourites “A Little Soul” and “Seductive Barry,” this edition is essential for Britpop, indie and 90s alternative collectors.
