Technical Condition
15-Inch Low-Frequency Sections: The JBL 2231A low-frequency configuration remains part of the four-way monitor system. The large woofer assemblies are fitted in the bass-reflex enclosures and retain their dedicated low-frequency role.
10-Inch Mid-Bass Sections: The JBL 2121 mid-bass driver configuration remains in place, providing the dedicated cone-driver section between the low-frequency woofer and horn-loaded upper-midrange system.
JBL 2426J Compression Drivers: The previous JBL 2420 units have been replaced with JBL 2426J titanium-diaphragm compression drivers. Both horn-loaded sections now use the 16-ohm 2426J configuration.
Horn & Acoustic Lenses: The horn-loaded sections retain the JBL 2307 horn and 2308 acoustic-lens arrangement associated with the 4343 design.
JBL 2405 Ultra-High-Frequency Sections: The slot-radiator units remain part of the four-way monitor configuration and are positioned in the upper-frequency section of each cabinet.
Front-Panel Controls: The frequency-level adjustment controls remain fitted to the front baffles and retain the original-style JBL 4343 control layout.
Crossover & Rear Connections: The monitors retain the JBL 4343 internal passive / external crossover configuration design, including the rear connection and selection-panel arrangement. External multi-amplifier operation requires suitable crossover equipment and correct configuration.
