Striking vintage Barclay statement necklace featuring a large dimensional heart-shaped pendant filled with faceted glass rhinestones in shades of aqua blue, sapphire blue, peridot green, smoky lavender, and clear. The mixed-cut stones include emerald, pear, round, and rectangular shapes arranged in an ornate openwork gold-tone setting.
A decorative rhinestone-accented connector joins the pendant to a smooth gold-tone snake chain. Finished with a secure fold-over clasp signed “Barclay.”
The Barclay script mark was introduced in 1948, and the construction and styling suggest this necklace likely dates from approximately the 1950s–1960s. This is Barclay Jewelry and should not be confused with earlier McClelland Barclay pieces.
The rhinestones registered in the glass range when tested with a Presidium Gem Tester. Testing is for informational purposes only; the stones have not been evaluated by a gemologist.
