Painted in soft shades of blue-gray, cream, taupe and brown, this small winter scene captures the quiet beauty of a snowy rural setting.
The artwork is signed in the lower right corner with a copyright symbol and the date 1987. The artist's signature has not been positively identified.
Presented under glass in an older reddish-brown wood frame with wide white matting. The reverse retains a Thomas Smith's Custom Framing label from Woodlyn, Pennsylvania.
A lovely piece for a country farmhouse, cottage, traditional home or seasonal winter display.

Vintage pre-owned condition with considerable age-related wear. The wood frame has numerous scratches, scuffs, finish losses and surface marks, particularly along the upper and lower edges and corners. The wide white matting is heavily soiled, with visible discoloration, spotting and staining throughout. The reverse paper backing is aged, discolored and torn in several areas. The watercolor itself appears generally well preserved behind glass, although it has not been removed from the frame for examination.
