Description
Movie script entitled Five of a Kind written by Lou Breslow and John Patrick, Final Draft, May 11,1938, 160 mimeographed white pages bound in blue Twentieth Century Fox wraps with two brass brads, with wraps in good condition as seen in the attached photos and the pages virtually new. John Patrick has signed the page preceding the title page. The number 48 has been stamped on the lower right corner of the front cover and also twice on the page preceding the title page.
Fascinating movie as Twentieth Century Fox cast the movie with The Dionne Quintuplets starring surrounded by a who's who of studio second bananas including Jean Hersholt, Claire Trevor, Cesar Romero, Slim Sommerville, and Jane Darwell.
This was one of first films written by John Patrick, whose later screenwriting career included movies such as the Oscar nominated The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, High Society, Les Girls, and The Teahouse of the August Moon that was based on his Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway play of the same name. Autographed scripts by Patrick are scarce.
