VINTAGE sterling silver rectangular pin or brooch by well-known Mexican designer LOS BALLESTEROS. The brooch is domed slightly and has a fancy scalloped border on two sides and a human figure and bird head designs crafted from mixed metals with crushed blue/green stone (maybe azurite) filled into the channels. The brooch has a locking pin assembly that is in good working order.

Excellent quality and condition for this ca. mid – 1900’s collector’s item. It bears several classic marks on the back including “HECHO EN MEXICO”, “STERLING 925”, the fancy script “B” for Los Ballesteros, and “TALLERES DE LOS BALLESTEROS TAXCO GRO.” Jewelry by this Mexican taller is very collectible! LOW starting price has been reduced by 50% and is just about the scrap value of the silver !!!
