The Type 90 was officially adopted in 1990 as the JGSDF's third-generation main battle tank following the Type 74. It carries a 120 mm smoothbore gun and composite armor and was deployed mainly with Northern Army and training units.

The included photo-etched parts allow a more detailed reproduction of the Type 90. Includes decals for the 71st, 72nd and 73rd Tank Regiments and a winter pixel camouflage pattern. Contains one vehicle.

Photo-etched parts include the machine-gun magazine holder, ring sight, BATTLER components, simulated firing device, sighting periscope covers and other details.

Completed length: approximately 136 mm.
