Starcrost’s self‑titled album is a rare gem of jazz‑funk and soul‑jazz, originally pressed in tiny quantities and long considered a collector’s holy grail. Featuring tight grooves, warm Rhodes textures and deep rhythmic interplay, the album blends spiritual jazz influences with raw funk energy. Jazzman’s Holy Grail Series reissue brings this sought‑after recording back into circulation with restored audio and faithful presentation, offering listeners a chance to experience one of the most elusive and distinctive underground jazz‑funk albums of the 1970s.
